I wanna be about something different…

I want the love, I want the light

I want the beauty on the inside

I want the one that you can’t see

To be the definition of me

More than the face, more than the girl

More than the voice, more than the world

I want the truth that I believe

To be the definition of me

~Mandisa

This song reminds me of little C. And her mama. And her brothers. And daddy. Having this family at the studio watching little sister get her photos done was a breath of fresh air! As always, mama was smiles and love for her children. I’ve met the brothers more than once, and talk about sweet, thoughtful and cute…they are! This was the first time I had met dad, and after 30 seconds, I knew where this family’s foundation started! Just as polite and thoughtful as his little boys. It really was a joy working with them all, and seeing just how in love they were with “Baby Siss” as they call her:)Brooke, I’ve so enjoyed watching her grow! I just know she will not only be a beautiful little girl, but she will have an amazing heart and soul!!!

Life is a highway, and I wanna drive it all night long…

These boys love their cars. And fire trucks. And mom and dad!

We had a ton of fun in the studio last night hanging out and playing. The best part I think is when little brother got his bottle, walked over to me, and plopped down in my lap. Despite having 489 children of my own, I’ve never claimed to be a baby magnet. However, this little guy was quite the snuggle bug with me! Mom and Dad were certain we didn’t get any shots. Oh how I love surprising folks;)

Standing in the huddle listening to the call, fans going crazy…

They didn’t let just anybody in that club
Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood
To get to wear those game day jerseys down the hall
Kings of the school man, we’re the boys of fall

And she is their biggest cheerleader!

Hello, tiny

This sweetie was the answer to my model call for an outdoor newborn, and I’m so glad she was because her parents are SUPER nice! We met up at one of my new favorite spots for a session, Ashford Manor! If you’ve never been there, you HAVE to see it. The grounds are flat out stunning and the guys that run it are amazingly nice too. Anyway, This little tiny girl arrived sleepy but woke up while we were getting set up. Thank goodness mom and dad are good with bodily fluids, because she got them both with just about everything. We were patient though and finally she was out for good. I was able to get everything I wanted and a few bonus shots!

Another graduate!

You’d think that of all the times I’ve been to this girl’s house for photos, she’s remember me and I wouldn’t get the “Oh, you’re scary!” face for 20 minutes when I walk in.. but no. She flirts and smiles like a champ when mommy is holding her but if I look like I’m coming too close that smile vanishes! She’s now a Tales From the Crib graduate! Thank goodness we already have two more sessions on the calender or I’d be going through withdrawals. I need my dose of cute curly-headed baby! You can see her sitting up session, her heads up session and her newborn session!

Little boy, very blue

Okay, where on earth did those curls come from?!? His 7 month session and his 4 month session didn’t have those and of course his newborn session didn’t either!! We met up this morning for his session at Ashford Manor in Watkinsville. Have you ever been there? I hadn’t, and holy cow, I wish I had earlier! I can tell you, I’ve already looked at booking that location for my own wedding (eventually) and I plan on calling them up and begging them to the able to shoot some princesses there. It’s just begging for some little girls. That john-john from Southern Belles and Beaus is cute though! OH, and how is he ONE already? ::sniff sniff::

We then went quick quick over to her parent’s house just down the road because I wanted to do some sudsy baby shots and her mother had a washtub we could use! Well, no one notified this poor guy that he’d been signed up for this, and he was NOT happy with it at all. He went from unsure to VERY MAD in about 2.5 seconds. Poor thing. Cuddles from daddy fixed everything though, and he was down for a nap before I even got out of the driveway.

This sweetie’s mommy drove all over Athens, Winterville and Watkinsville looking for places for a session in some Bradford Pears. I LOVE the place she found. It was SO windy and cold that day that I was glad I brought my cloak with me to go over the dresses.Kept this girl a little warmer and smiley for just a biiiit longer.:)
