Little Miss Happy

So, last time for this little sweetie’s session, she was sooo mad at us, and I swore to mom and dad that the next one would be different because she’d be so thrilled with being able to sit up. I’m not sure they believed me until I was leaving the day of this session. Thank goodness I was right (this time) and she was a lot more thrilled with us than last time. Check out her heads up session and her newborn session!

Pajama Jammy Jam

Oh, how I love this family. I see them at least twice every year and I just love them more and more every time. This year for their holiday photos they wanted a photos in front of the door like they do every time, but they also asked for something more fun and unique. I suggested a bed jumping in pajamas theme, which they all thought was pretty fun. Big sister sure is the best jumping, littlest brother was short a nap and so not into it, poor guy.

Oh, the cute.

Oh my goodness, this girl.  Check out her hair! They say they can’t do a thing with it. Who’d want to? Big brother’s eyes are amber colored, big sister’s are ice blue. She got a mix. :) Plus everyone knows my love affair with babies on beds! This family is SO awesome.  I hung out after the family photos on the porch for some fun talking about booger pancakes and some flying.

Be still, my heart

I talk to a lot of people in my line of work and I really enjoy them all. Every once in a while though, there are just some clients that become much more than clients. This person I always set aside an entire day for because when I go over to her house, we get to talking and it’s hours that I’m there, loving on her kids and shooting the breeze.

I LOVE her kids too. Like, I adore them as if I had them for my own. I smooch on them when I’m there and I really do love them so much that it makes me tear up a little. You know though, it’s easy when they’re this cute. This little guy we last saw in January for a newborn session. Oh, and Frankie found me some new hats. Can you tell?

I had to have a laugh at her expense when I got there this morning though, because I get there and she blurts “Can you edit out button marks?” I cleverly said “What?” She replies “He fell on a shirt this morning and it left a button imprint in his head!” I thought it sounded off, but I wasn’t really picturing it as clear as this. The poor kid really did have a button imprint in his head, the thread and rim of the button was right there.

Smiling baby

This sweet girl and her mommy made my whole morning amazing on Friday. The baby slept through the entire session, smiled a little for me, let me do whatever I wanted to with her! Mommy was even nicer! Let me do whatever I wanted to, use whatever I wanted around the house, got me some water and sat back and rested! I can’t wait to see this one as she grows up because I have such fun ideas for their house! PS: If you can’t read the side of the box, the says ‘Stork Enterprises’.

I just had to include this last one. It’s like “Aww, man. Aren’t you done with me yet?”

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful…..

Really…only need one word to describe this wedding!

Beautiful bride: check

Beautiful groom: check

Beautiful venue: check

Beautiful wedding party: CHECK

Carrie and Tim are an amazing couple. True love from their SOULS. And theirs isn’t just some perfect fairy tale either. They didn’t randomly get to this point….they WORKED for it. Constantly growing and nurturing their relationship, getting it to the level where saying I DO was as easy and natural as breathing.

Thank you guys for allowing us to share in this awesome day. We TRULY enjoyed EVERY second of it :)

This session was a TRIP!

Quite literally…..for me anyhow, lol.

We cross the street in downtown Watkinsville, GA….mom is trying to get little girl to stand next to the building…I turn around, while fiddling with my band-aid that is on my itty bitty paper cut (but also my shutter finger), and suddenly find myself SPRAWLED out on the ground….in my head I am swearing 100 different combinations of obscenities….because surely….this cannot be the best way to start off a session with a new client.

I get up, dust myself off, and realize I am bleeding from both elbows…and I just KNOW blood has got to be pouring out of my knee cap. Really though, I am just thankful that I had enough sense to hold my camera UP, which is why my elbows took the brunt of the fall. I mean…..looking back, how can you not LAUGH…the thought of my big behind sprawled out on the concrete….really….HILARIOUS! And…my wounds look no worse than the scrapes I used to get playing softball ;)

So, mom is making sure I am ok, and saying “But you’re BLEEDING” LOL! I assured her I would not get it on little LK’s dress and we continued on with starting the session.

Polly, thank you SO MUCH for the Jittery Joe’s….and for not freaking out as I so gracefully landed on the sidewalk….and here is the result of our VERY eventful morning, lol!
