This girl is quite the charmer, and right up my alley. Silly and yet sweet, wild and still has calm moments. Her session was fab and I can’t wait to see this family again!

Amongst other various things. But newborn babies, being loved and adored, and kissed and held by their parents….THAT makes me smile. I love being able to SEE love on the faces of parents. There is nothing like it. There is no question that this little guy is loved. He is loved fully and completely by his parents. The way they hold him ever so gently. They way they work together to get him dressed and soothe him. They way they just stare at him. Yes, friends, this baby, he is LOVED!

Congratulations go out to the Reese family! This very big fellow was born 1:45am weighing in at 10lbs 6 oz.. but here’s the kicker.. he was born on Jan 1, making him the very first baby born in Athens Clarke County for 2012! He was the perfect baby for me at the studio. He woke up once in 45 minutes to look around and be fed, but that was it. Even big sister (whose name is Rhielle, how pretty is that?!?) was super sweet and did everything we asked. Thank goodness the session was fast too, or I think my arms would have fallen off holding this guy up. His daddy says “He’s meaty.”

I love that this year’s first session is a newborn! She was born about a month early right before Christmas, so she had quite the NICU stay before she was able to come in. Older brother just loves her to bits. LOVES her. She was tough to get to sleep because she just wanted to not miss a thing, but we finally got the best of her tired sleepy self. Daddy’s a firefighter right up the road at the Five Points fire station too!

about all sorts of things! This sweet girl is one of those minds. I love how inquisitive she is and how she doesn’t just ASK questions. She really and truly listens to the answers! This session I was able to get a ton of different expressions! Mom, Dad, you are SO IN TROUBLE!!!

Oh, I rarely get to do holiday newborns, because there aren’t many born right around Christmas or New years or whatnot. This 10lb not-so-little fellow is 18 days old and he just would not sleep! We got him asleep for about 5 minutes in an hour and a half (with his super-patient 3 year-old big brother there), then he was awake again. 18 days is rough! I finally sent the family out the door to start the long drive back to Atlanta and said “If he falls asleep in the next 15 minutes, feel free to come back!” I figured it’d take about 45 minutes of swaying in the studio, so I was pretty glad wen they called from McDonald’s 15 minutes later to tell me he was out. They finished lunch and swung back by to get the other two sets. Sweet!
