Sign, sealed, delivered, I’m YOURS!

Allie and Ryan held their ceremony at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, GA. Already, before they had even said their vows, their patience, courage, and trust was tested. The ceremony on the point…not happening. The rain stopping…not happening. The power going OUT….happening. So, yea…the events leading up to the actual “I DOs” was not their idea of a fairy tale. However…standing there, at that alter, in front of God and everyone saying I DO….perfect beginning to the story that will be the rest of their lives!

I don’t usually do this, but I am going to put a TON of images up for them on the blog. Why? Why THIS wedding? Well, I owe it to them. Not only because they are so fabulous, but because I know, deep down….everyone is wondering if we were able to capture ANYTHING. Well friends…yes we were:)

First, the images that most certainly deserve to be by themselves!

And here are little bits and pieces from the day! Like I said, the power was OUT. It didn’t come back on until just before the ceremony started. So all the photos you see of everyone getting ready, and the group shots that are NOT on the “Formal” page…all no electricity, lol!

Congratulations Allie and Ryan! May you find all the happiness you both deserve!

First Wedding!

So I probably couldn’t have asked for a more FUN wedding to practice shooting! What made it so fun, might you ask? Wellllllll, this couple chopped some wood, dressed a baby doll, and even incorporated their two dogs into the ceremony! I’ll let the pictures do the talking;)

And love….TRUE LOVE…

Those of you who have seen the Princess Bride will appreciate that title, lol.

Oh MAN…what can I say about Miranda and Josh! Truly, NOT ENOUGH. Hands down, no questions asked, my most favorite ceremony ever. The ceremony was by far the most personable one I have been to. The pastor was crying, the bridal party was crying, mom and dad….just amazing.

Josh and Miranda, I hope you had a FABULOUS time on your honeymoon:)

Josh and Miranda were married in Watkinsville, GA and held their reception there also!

Oh what a night! Late in May 2008….

Sorry, that song just happened to be in my head as I started this post! Obviously, a different date in the song, but still quite catchy:)
Heather and Patrick tied the knot at the FABULOUSLY BEAUTIFUL Day Chapel located at the Botanical Gardens here in Athens, Ga. It was a picture perfect day. A wonderful ceremony, and a happenin’ party afterwards.
The bride and groom were each beside themselves with joy. Quite a few tears were shed between the two of them, and oh how sweet it was to be there.
We had a great time documenting their day and hanging out with friends and family. We wish you the best of luck!

What a way to say…..I DO!!!

At beautiful Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, GA! Meg and Braam, who I said earlier were one couple that didn’t so much remind me of me and my husband tied the knot last Sunday! Man oh man was I WRONG….Meg and Braam are very much like Greg and I as we found out at dinner…same sense of humor…taste in food….TV…..they just happen to be a little more outdoorsy;)

I couldn’t have been more honored to photograph their wedding. Meg’s mother happens to be the pastor at our church (Oconee St. UMC) and I was tickled to be able to document this event for her. The photos speak for themselves as to how beautiful this place was. Greg and I have decided that we WILL be spending our next anniversary there.

Congrats to two wonderful people, who are obviously so in love. And also, to one very relieved mother:)

They do.

Oh what a weekend!! Spent the weekend up in Concord, NC shooting Beth and Brian’s LOVELY wedding. The church and reception venue were so beautiful! The bridal party made the photo taking so easy…..they were fun, laid back, and ON TIME!! Early infact. You all know, as photographers, we get REALLY excited about that, lol. Below are a few that immediately caught my eye so I had to post them! I hope Beth and Brian are having fun on their honeymoon…..they are honeymooning in…..well….come to think of it, he didn’t TELL ME. Nor did he tell her, so I guess I’ll forgive him. Where ever you two are, I hope you are having a fabulous time celebrating your new titles of Husband and Wife. CONGRATULATIONS!!!webdsc_9224.jpg

The Whittakers!!

FINALLY! A little time to share:)Heather and Matt got married on April 26 in Watkinsville, GA. We did their engagement session at University of Georgia and then Heather’s bridals were done at our stuido on Tracy St. and the State Botanical Gardens in Athens, GA!Their wedding reception was at the beautiful Georgia Center on UGA campus. That was our first time shooting there and it was AMAZING! If only every reception venue was as wonderfully lit as that one! There will be more to share, but with it being the height of wedding season we are juggling several at once! Have another wedding to get up tonight! I will share more of Matt and Heather as I can:)

Let Love Be Your Guide

And hiking partner, and biking partner, and kayak rider….and……..You get the point! Meg and Braam are totally partners in everything they do. While most of my couples remind me very much of my husband and I, Meg and Braam, not so much. They are active, outdoorsy, do it all together people. Greg and I are fairly lazy, A/C, do it when we have the time kind of people;)This has been my most interactive engagement session to date. We traveled to Sandy Creek Park in Athens, headed towards Commerce. I always forget about Sandy Creek. But the beauty of that park never ceases to amaze me. And, while the drought seems to have ruled most of the state, Lake Chapman was gorgeous as ever!!I can’t wait to photograph Meg and Braam’s wedding ceremony at Barnesly Gardens in Adairsville, GA. The photos I have seen of the place are simply stunning, and nothing short of the romantic, rustic location that the two of them desire!webdsc_1303.jpgwebdsc_1381.jpgwebdsc_1515.jpgwebdsc_8754.jpgwebdsc_8820.jpg
