Awww, we want the funk!

What: Help Heather test out some really fun ideas with a very colorful backdrop. Heavily discounted print prices for your time! We will be playing with pettiskirts and tutus some.

Who: Girls ages 4 – 12 with a funky, sassy, hip attitude and a rockin’ wardrobe. Girls who have their own style. Girls who do not need a whole lot of prompting to have fun in front of the camera.

Wardrobe: Bright, colorful, funky and modern. Clothes with eye-catching attitude. Highly welcome designers include: Matilda Jane, Tea Collection, Servane Barrau, Gymboree… etc

When/Where: Thursday the 29th, 10am – 2pm at the studio

Fall Princesses for Manic Monday

It got too cold before the leaves changed last year to shoot any. I think this year is going to be fantastic for some burgundy, copper and gold princesses, so I don’t want to miss out!

Girls that are 3t, 4t or 5t, all sessions at the Botanical Gardens.

Times available:

October 28th: 4:30pm.

November 2nd: 4:30pm.

November 4th: 4:30pm.

November 8th: 4:30pm.

November 12th: 4:30pm.

November 16th: 4:00pm.

A light manic monday

I’ve got something in mind that I need to play with and practice on before I break it out for real, soooo I need some people! The only hint I can give is that they will have something to do with snowflakes.:P

Thursday the 22nd between 10am and 2pm, I need some kids who are sitting to under 18 years and can sit still-ish for about 15 minutes at a time. I just need to borrow your kids for about 15-20 minutes, you’ll get a few images on CD or emailed just for coming in, but I need to know who is coming in, so please call  me at 706.338.4414 or email heather@stylizedportraiture.com to set up your spot.

It’s scary how easy it is to make a difference!

Did you know that for $1 you can provide FOUR meals to someone!? Well, now you do! The Northeast Georgia Food Bank really knows how to stretch a dollar! And we want to provide them with some extra cash for this holiday season!

Who? Anyone willing to put on a costume

What? Make a donation (food or cash in ANY AMOUNT) to the Northeast Georgia Food Bank, bring your child in to be photographed in their costume and receive 1 5×7 and 1 4×6 print of the pose of your choice! Add additional poses for $5….ALL OF WHICH GOES TO THE FOODBANK!!! We prefer you pay with a check, made out directly to The Food Bank, but cash is fine. We cannot accept credit cards for this fundraiser!

When? October 28-30 2pm-6pm

Where? Stylized Portraiture Studio, 160 Tracy St. Athens, GA 30601

How? Everyone is welcome to attend Stylized Portraiture’s October Northeast Georgia Food Bank Fundraiser! You do not have to sign up to take part in this drive. If you can drop us an email or phone call to let us know you are coming, that’s awesome! We can make sure we have enough goody bags. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED to notify us that you will be there. Just come by any time between 2pm and 6pm on October 28-30!

So, if you have been dying for a super cute photo of your little one in their Halloween costume, bring them in! If you want a photo of YOU in your grown-up costume just because you’re cool like that….bring it! Hope to see you all there:)

A yoga manic Monday

I think I’ve reached that time in my life when I have to either start working off the extra weight or just keep getting bigger and bigger. I’ve reluctantly decided to start working out with my BFF, doing Pilates three times a week. ::sigh:: I don’t want to. I know it’s just plain going to hurt for a while. All that ick to get rid of a little belly flab.

In that vein, today’s manic monday is all about wellness. Today’s special giveaway is a trip to see Pat at Full Bloom here in Athens for a Yoga Class! Pick one of the four below:

Prenatal Yoga - breathe and strengthen the core muscles of birth. Release tension and ease common discomforts. Practice meditations and visualizations for labor. Thursdays – 6 PM.

Yoga Sprouts - fun, playful yoga for children two to six years old. Build strength and flexibility; enhance relaxation and confidence. Wednesdays – 3:30 PM.

Mama-Baby Yoga - for new mothers and babies (6 weeks old to pre-crawling.) Practice relaxation techniques, move and stretch with your baby, learn postures that can improve digestion and reduce fussiness. Enjoy bonding with your baby and connecting with other women. Fridays – 10:30 AM.

Yoga for Everyone - for all levels and for men and women. These yoga classes will challenge you with strength building and cardio as well as provide deep stretching. Sundays – 9:00 AM

And the winner is….

Evette! While the first time Ella pulled 5 names out of the hat, I had to have her redraw. I think she thought that she was puling out a handful of candy LOL! So, on try number two, she closed her eyes tight, stuck her hand in, and out she pulled! Evette’s 10 year old daughter will be gettin’ an Urban session!!!

Manic Monday

I got so used to having a bunch of squishy babies all June and July, so I’m missing them this month! I have some fun ideas I want to try with a super sleepy little one, so today’s manic monday is all about babies.

Free studio or home (within 10miles of Athens) session for a newborn or pair of newborn twins, before August 23rd. Newborn: less than 10 days old.
