Oh how I LOVE this age! They are sitting, they are crawling a little but, but oh how they are HAPPY! Little Man came in to the studio still asleep. Woke up with an INSTANT smile! Be still my heart

Aww, check out the cheeks and chin on THIS little guy! I looked down at him in my arms while I was rocking him to sleep and said “He sure has a prominent chin for a baby!” and mom goes “Yeah, he’s got a butt chin.” ROFL! This guy peed on daddy, pooped on mommy and pooped on just about every blanket in the studio. I got the fabulous photos I wanted, but he won.
Oh my goodness, this girl. Check out her hair! They say they can’t do a thing with it. Who’d want to? Big brother’s eyes are amber colored, big sister’s are ice blue. She got a mix. Plus everyone knows my love affair with babies on beds! This family is SO awesome. I hung out after the family photos on the porch for some fun talking about booger pancakes and some flying.

I photographed this handsome young man at his preschool a few years ago, and mom and dad called to get a family session in before he got any bigger! I swear, it is as though they grow up right before your eyes. Two years ago he was a sweet little preschooler, and now…now he is an adventurous, inquisitive, totally awesome big kid! Mom and Dad were totally chill as well. We all hung out and watched Little Man explore the gardens and jump and climb, and they didn’t mind letting him! We even snuck in a quick game of hide and seek!
Oh yea…and after 10 and a half years….they still got IT!
And I am L O V I N G it!!! This family came in for newborn photos 7 months ago, and wanted to do a little family photo for their holiday cards, as well as capture Lil’ Miss Blue Eyes in her new found milestone…SITTING UP! Mom can be my personal shopper any day of the week! Hmmm, that’s an idea….Tina, perhaps we can hire you on as our full-time stylist!
Ohhh, this one had me giggling as soon as I saw it.
I love the familes that do photos in June, because you know they’re laid back. We sweated all the way through this session, but they were fine with it. Not a worry about how they felt, not a complaint at all! Plus, when you have kids as cute as these two, it’s hard to get worried about how the photos will turn out!
I am really digging these new fairy wings! I had a blast with one of our girls last night at the Botanical Gardens again. This little girl is always SO FUNNY. She talks the entire time and is really mature for her age, so the conversation topics are always really entertaining. If you say something silly yourself, she replies “Uh, Hello? That’s silly.” I had to include one outtake here because it was seriously cracking me up all night long.I think we were talking about boogers or bugs.
This guy was one of the silliest sessions I’ve had in a while. Kid kept feeding me grass bits. I’d bite one and then hoooolllld it and the SPIT it at him and he just doubled over laughing every time. It was so funny I had tears in my eyes. He had the best hyuck-hyuck laugh too. He just begs to be giggled at.
