You wake up…ready to go…and your kids have other ideas! Trust me when I say we have ALL been there. Trying to get in the car and your child suddenly decides NO! Not going. Especially not without a fight! As a mother…and a photographer…I totally get that. So, when I talked to Mary Beth this morning, I assured her that her kids being KIDS was truly no big deal. She could relax, get there when she could, and we’d totally wing it.
Much to my delight, the girls arrived willing and ready. I loved every minute of their fabulous personalities. I could have just eaten them up! Their love for each other is obvious and they both look out for one another. Can’t wait to have them back!

I know just about everyone knows this girl by now. Her beautiful baby brother was just born a few weeks ago and I begged her mom for some furniture fun shots last week. Miss. L. is so funny too. For these, we were talking about how when someone farts, a unicorn is born. She didn’t believe me when I said I farted unicorns and pooped rainbows. I nearly had her convinced when I said that brown horses were really poopy unicorns, but she finally decided I was wrong. Her mommy says she’s not allowed to talk about that stuff except when I’m there! Sorry Michelle, I’m responsible for your daughter’s potty mouth!

I could tell you all about our session this morning…but that wouldn’t hold a candle to the conversation this little girl had with her mom on Christmas…..
So, she opens up her motorcycle on Christmas Day and what does she say?
“Mama, I want to take this to Mrs. Frankie’s studio and take my picture!”
Then, two days later: “Mama, I want to go to Mrs. Frankie’s studio with my motorcycle.”
So….OF COURSE she comes in and is a Harley ridin’ FOOL! Ugh, she gets cuter and cuter every single time she is in. We’ll get to see her at the end of the month too for her two year session….ohhh, I cannot WAIT!

is good for something!
Met up with Kaitlin and her mom at the Botanical Gardens here in Athens this afternoon. We got rained out two weeks ago and I was seriously stressin’ what today was going to bring. But, the cloud coverage was PERFECT for today’s session. I could not have asked for better diffusion. I also couldn’t have asked for a cooler model! Looking to go into broadcast journalism, Caitlin was totally CHILL! We had a fabulous time walking all over the gardens.
You all know how I LOVE to make the same spot look totally different. Well, I am thinking that you might look at these and say…HUH? Botanical Gardens? I think not…..alas…..I think SO!
