Has it really been…..

THAT long? I tell you what, summer is NOT a chill time for me. With all 5 kids out of school, there seems to be a never ending pile of dishes, laundry, and things to do. Don’t get me wrong, I love spending the summer with my kids, but that also mean something has to be put on the back burner. This month it was the blog! Sorry about that. But I can assure you, in a few weeks we will be right on back to normal.

Summer doesn’t mean a break in work however! Last week I had a session with two of the cutest little girls! Mary Paige and Addie are just the sweetest sisters ever. While it took Addie a bit to warm up, we finally figured out that all we had to do was play her a lil’ Fergie and we were good to go! Miss Mary Paige was a pro. She didn’t need any help in figuring out how to stand or position herslef, and was the sweetest thing EVER! While I know we all had a good time, I am sure the folks in Doc Chey’s had fun watching me on the sidewalk on my stomach:|

Meet the Nail Family!

Oh my what a wonderful group of people! The twins, Garret and Grayson were so full of life and curiosity. If I could bottle just a piece of their energy, I wouldn’t ever have to worry about being tired! They had their 5th birthday party earlier Saturday and tried to trick me into thinking that they were SIX! Silly kids. While quickly looking through the photos for something that I should put on the blog for you all to see, I couldn’t resist these two photos of the kids. If I could sum Garret up in one photo, THIS would be it. That sly little smirk on the face of an angel. The one that says “You have no idea what I am thinking!” And Grayson! Don’t let those baby blues fool you folks. She has as much spunk and adventure in her as her brother, while maintaining that delicate sense of lady-like attitude. Pulling her photo for the blog wasn’t hard……one of the few without her hiking up her dress to keep it out of the water!

I was so excited when Mary Lynn’s parents asked if they could be photographed while I was there. To see two people still so very much in love after 40 years makes me giddy. I just hope that I still have that look in my eye for Greg that she had yesterday for her husband.

Not just any teacher….

She also happens to be my son’s first grade teacher! This is the Taylor Family. Mrs. Taylor is by far one of the best teachers we have had! If I could write out a wish list of characteristics that I thought one should have to compliment Aiden’s learning style she would encompass them all! Fun does not begin to describe this family. They were all just so great to work with. They are all also very hard working! While they might not know it, I do appreciate them taking time away from their sleep to have me photograph them!

The Five…

Some more peeks for this wonderful family. I’m so in love with these girls, and counting the days until my next session with them. They’re all so fun.

Mom’s idea to do the pyramid. We weren’t sure we’d be able to pull it off with the 4th girl’s arm being in a cast, but she swore she could handle it.

The oldest of the five, very patient and mellow. Nothing bothers her. She reminds me a lot of myself.

2nd child, vey athletic. I gave her the options of sitting on a bench or near the water. She asked if she could sit IN it. The water was freezing, but once she decided she wanted to, that was that.

After hearing of her older sister’s water-sitting esapades, she wouldn’t hear of anything else. I swear, the water had to have been 40 degrees, but she kept saying “This is the best part of the whole day!”

This poor girl wanted to sit in the water too, but she had a broken arm and a cut on her foot. She was a great sport about all the stuff I put them through though.

The youngest of the five, but the most active. Very funny too. I had everyone screaming ‘Monkey Butts!’ to get them to laugh, but she decided to roll over and show us her monkey butt.
