Blue princess

Miss Annabeth here is one of the nominations for our memorial princess sessions. Annabeth was born deaf and was fitted for cochlear implants a year ago. In that year, her Mommy says she’s gone from a shy, scared little girl to an adventurous, willful self-saving princess. I tell you, she had me in stitches at our session tonight! She’s just so darn funny! She was in the water, running through the grass, hopping up and down, she had it all. I can’t wait to see what kind of person she turns into!

We started out in this wonderful little sapphire fairy outfit, but it was itchy and the wings were tight. I think everyone with a two-year-old know what happens when you have an itchy dress. Sooo we ended up with another dress.:)

The funniest thing about this session? I LOVE this grass and wanted her in it so bad, but she wouldn’t put her feet down to stand in it, so I said to her mommy “Okay, you are going to laugh, but if you lay down and let her stand on you and put your hands under the dress to hold her up, I won’t be able to see you at all. Are you game for that?” Bless her, but she giggled at me but laid right down in that grass to let me get my shot! Ah.. the wonderful life of assisting at a photography session!

A Storybook Story

This little sweetie started out so so super shy at first, but it wasn’t long before she was dancing and running like the true princess she is. I always love the magical looks I get out of them too, and everyone notices a Fairytale Princess coming!

Gorgeous blues

Oh, just LOOK at these gorgeous girls! I got to play dress up with these sweethearts for a nice long time Saturday. I was told that the older girl is the one not so into dresses, and the younger was the talkative one. Then they got there and the older one is the chatty one! Both had a blast there though, and we got some great photos.

A fairy in the flowers

This little girl couldn’t have been cuter. I told her that she could go do whatever she wanted and she got this look on her face and shouted “REALLY??” I assured her that I would follow her and ask her to sit in a few special places, but she was in charge the rest of the time. She ran off about 10 feet and looked back and said “Um.. hello? You’re supposed to be following me?”
One of the special places I asked her to sit was in a new field of wildflowers. I was sooooo happy that she decided she would even though there were bees all around her that she was scared of.

Green and golden

I am really digging these new fairy wings! I had a blast with one of our girls last night at the Botanical Gardens again. This little girl is always SO FUNNY. She talks the entire time and is really mature for her age, so the conversation topics are always really entertaining. If you say something silly yourself, she replies “Uh, Hello? That’s silly.” I had to include one outtake here because it was seriously cracking me up all night long.I think we were talking about boogers or bugs.

A fairy tale

This morning was my first test run for my newly made fairy wings and I tell you, it was a test RUN! We ran all over the Botanical Gardens. Through the river and over the woods, and we both left soaked and covered in mud. I LOVE sessions like this, and thank goodness her daddy was cool with it too. Once I assured him that the dress would wash, he was gung-ho about getting her all in the mud! I did find out that the wings are pretty durable and mostly waterproof too, which is handy to know! Right at the last part, the staff at the gardens turned the sprinklers on and we played in it!

You can play Fairy Godmother!

You know, sometimes it is hard to believe in Fairy Tales. There are times in life when we want nothing more than a magic wand and a little pixie dust to take us to a happy place! We know that there are some people that you would love to do that for too. With everything looking so beautiful outside this time of year (thank you rain!) we felt like we wanted our next big giveaway to be something that could totally reflect that! Well.. what better than a FAIRYTALE COLLECTION! Not just a session but prints, and brag books, and files too. Ohhh yeah baby, happy place here we come!:)

Now, where do YOU come in? Let’s be honest; no one loves anything more than hearing the good, fabulous, things people have to say about them or their children. Whether it is that they have triumphed over troubled times, are fighting health issues, that they are the best friend and mother/father in the world, or that they are just an amazing kid who deserves a little something special, people LOVE to know that other people feel that way about them. So, it is up to YOU to nominate a family that has a little girl(s) between the ages of 18months and 7 years old. Tell us why you think they deserve to have their little girl whisked off to a magical place where she is queen and is photographed as such!

Send us an email sharing why you think the person you are nominating should be THE ONE for this totally awesome package. What makes that little girl so special and why does she deserve to be treated like a queen?
