These folks are gettin’ married soon! We have put the engagement session off until the last minute! How stoked was I when they said they wanted to hang out at the bowling alley! Total blast!!!

and with two people SO in LOVE, it is a VERY beautiful thing!
Tim and Carrie are freakin’ ROCKSTARS!!! I loved every minute of photographing and hanging out with them. We hit Sandy Creek Park on 441 in Athens, then made our way to downtown and UGA’s North Campus. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. It was also quite educational! Tim is a landscaper and was telling us *me* about all the different trees we were shooting around…AND…I had NO IDEA…but there are MALE and FEMALE trees!!! Yea, I haven’t the hint of a green thumb (unless you mean green as in dollars
) so I had absolutely no clue. But, I can assure I will not forget!
Get this too…Carrie is a teacher…seriously…can you IMAGINE walking into your child’s class and seeing her? I bet she has TONS of parent volunteers! *giggle*
And these two have plenty of it!
Miranda and Josh are two of the cutest, giggliest couples I have worked with! We did a dual location session and hit the UGA Botanical Gardens and then hit the Tracy St. Studio for the more urban look. They were my last engagement session for a while, and their wedding will be my first one back! Can’t wait for November
And I try really really hard not to go back on my word.
After a long hard day, I am going to post these blog previews! I have so much to write about each of these sessions, but I just can’t tonight. Here are two of today’s sessions…..opposite ends of the spectrum….new life in a 3 month old….beginning a new life with an engaged couple.

And that is just what these two were! So incredibly comfortable with each other. Also turns out to be quite a small world as Matt here is from Bainbridge, not too terribly far from my home town of Tallahassee!Matt and Heather are a beautifully matched couple. They are so happy with each other that it was nearly impossible to get even the slightest hint of a “serious” face from either of them. I haven’t laughed this much with a couple in a long time….ok, not true, I laughed a LOT with David and Jennifer on the 2nd…..but stillI can’t hardly wait to photograph the two of them on their wedding day. I imagine it being the sweet balance of southern hospitality and newlywed passion. Heather, you are one lucky girl to find such a polite, respectable young man. And Matt, you better hold on to her. Women like Heather; laid back, full of laughter, with a good head on her shoulders, are HARD to come by.
And they KNOW.
And I KNOW.
NO DOUBT these two right here are totally in love. Completely smitten with each other, not afraid to be true to what their hearts tell them….purely, absolutely in love. I could see it in their faces, the way they touched and held hands. Not to mention the way they picked on each other. Ya know, that right there is sign #1….how well does he (she) handle the sarcasm, puns, and playful digs you throw around. And, they can both not only handle them….but give them too!
I can’t wait until February to hang out with Jennifer and David again. They have chosen a beautiful place and have all the plans moving right along. I am just grateful to be a part of it! Thanks guys for choosing ME

And these two…oh, it is so much more than love. It is this quiet, soft, passion they have. I mean, I could not have asked for a better couple to work with this afternoon. I had a blast at lunch with Heather and her mom a few months back. But today, today was AWESOME. She and Patrick are fabulous together. They have that giddy kind of love. The kind where no matter how serious they are supposed to be, they can’t help but look at each other and smile. And not just any smile….the smile that says it all….the smile that screams I LOVE YOU, and YOU make me happy. Genuine, true, and honest. That is Patrick and Heather
