This little guy’s mom wanted to do an urban session for his two year pictures, and they were all done outside of the studio. His outfits were perfect for this type of session, from the hat to the sunglasses to the tie! Total cuteness!

How cute are her little Michelin man rolls?! While she didn’t find us to be too entertaining, and not a lot of smiles, she still photographed like the beauty she is!

*sigh* How cute is he!? This little man is the brother to our Best of 2008 winner. It is amazing to me how much they look alike, minus eye color! Little dude was so content! While he wasn’t overwhelmingly excited about my ridiculous noises and games, he did pony up a few smiles for me![]()

Mmmm, mmmmm, mmmmm! This “heads up” stage is so fun! Babies are definitely still flexible, as is evident by the major foot gnawing we’ve got pictured below! Sweet little miss was our Best of 2009 winner in the newborn category! She is still just as gorgeous as back then! I cannot BELIEVE that hair. Mom worries she will rub/pull it all out, but I think she has plenty to spare![]()

Here are some pictures from Frankie’s session today. How cute is this little guy?!

This here is one of the best tempered 4 monthers I’ve had! She was giggly, she was smiley, she was drooly, but she WAS NOT criey
We did a HUGE variety with her! She was so content the whole time….except when mom was holding her a certain way. She was quick to let us know that wasn’t gonna fly!

How beautiful is this Christening Gown!?

Oh, you wouldn’t believe what this poor family went through to get here today! First, since the husband trains a lot out of town, they only had a window of two days to do a session while he was still here or they’d have to wait until Christmas. We booked the session for today at the Founder’s Garden, figuring that if something happened, we’d have another day to shoot. So, yesterday, I check the weather and it’s supposed to POUR for both days they have. So, I call her and let her know we’ll just have to do the session with blankets on the wet ground, but that it should stop raining in time for our 8am session. Mom texts me at 6:30am today and says she has left her house (she lives 2 hours away!) and that it’s pouring where she is. So I write her back and say it’s dry here, session’s still on. 7am, it’s raining here, 7:30am and it’s now POURING. Arg. So, weather says 10am should be sunny, so I tell her to putter around for a while and then we’ll still meet in the same place, no problem. 8:30, still pouring and now weather says there’s no 10am window. So, instead of making her drive 2 hours back with nothing to show for it, we agree to meet at the studio at 9am instead and just use the awnings to keep everyone dry. Whew! The poor baby was already done when we got there but we did our best! Thank goodness for mellow, flexible clients!!

This year, I had it all planned out. I conspired with her husband to give her a photo session of her sons and a book. She was going to open the book on Christmas and see her two amazing babies in the book and exclaim “Oh, Heather! These are the most amazing photos you’ve ever taken of my babies!! When on EARTH did you take them, because I’m SO surprised?” Well, I took these photos about a month ago and I’ve had the book sitting around waiting to be wrapped for a while. This morning, she says “Oh, I want to ask about getting a photo session soon! Are you totally booked?” Since she’s my best friend, I couldn’t lie to her and say I couldn’t possibly squeeze her in, so I had to tell her we already did and give her the book. ::sigh:: Oh well. I’m happy, because now I can finally blog these!
