Loved these three I did last week. They’ve always been good to me and this last time was no exception!

Ha! We always laugh because we know we’ll be seeing our clients from 0-4 years old, no problem. They still have all their baby teeth, they are still developing their personalities, and they don’t talk back all that much
But when they hit 6 or 7, it’s like they drop off the face of the earth and we don’t see them until they are 16! I love when a family of older kids comes in! It gives me a chance to capture that transition in their lives from little kid to big kid. Where they no longer think of themselves as babies, but aren’t quite preteen. There are grown up teeth mixed in with baby teeth, chubby cheeks thinning out, and the long lanky limbs waiting to bulk up with muscle! Yes, I love the elementary age in photographs! If you thought they changed a lot from 1 year to 4, just wait for the jump from 6-9! It’s incredible to actually see them becoming “big kids”![]()
Thanks for bringing your crew out for a long overdue family session! As a parent, I know what a fun (and sometimes hair pulling) stage this is! Also, yes, first time I believe I posted all BW photos on the blog. But, man! I just love the soulfulness of them!

And boy, is this little boy a boy of the south! Even at 3 his mama and daddy are on top of his manners while still letting him be a kid! I could sit back and listen to Charlie laugh and talk all day and never tire of it. His energy is inspiring and his smile infectious. He LOVES his mama and daddy like they are his best friends, and they him. I have so enjoyed watching this family grow together. It is always a pleasure hanging out with them and capturing where they are at in their lives. Can’t WAIT for you to see them all![]()

upon which we build so many things. Photographing tight-knit families such as this one always make me a little homesick. I am the only one of my family that doesn’t live in Tallahassee, Fl. This family has been here their entire lives. They all still live here. Mimi and Pops will get to watch their grandchildren grow up here. Sisters and brothers get to arrange dinners and birthdays and get-togethers just because! The amount of love that these guys have for each other is incredible. Not to mention the fabulous fun they have too! It was such an awesome evening hanging out at the UGA State Botanical Gardens! We ran into a TON of other photographers, but I’m nearly certain no one laughed as much as we did! Thanks guys for making my job so easy!

I can only pray that Greg and I still look at each other like this when we get to sit back and look at our children and their families….

The last time this guy was in, he wasn’t mobile at all. This time was a totally different story… his mom said “He doesn’t stop.” Usually that means we have about 45 minutes before the two-year-old reaches the end of his patience and then just melts down. Not this kid. He REALLY doesn’t stop. Three outfits (OMG, doesn’t he make the more adorable Koala ever?!?) later.. still going..

It was a beautiful fall day in the park for this family’s photo session. Almost everyone was excited about having their family photos taken. Ten year old boys are tough customers for the family photographer. I think next time I photograph this boy we’ll play a little football toss for the first 15 minutes so I can win him over more quickly. He couldn’t contain the smirks though once we got started. Thanks to Dad for cracking some hilarious jokes and having some fun ideas for silly photos. Twelve year old girls, however are all about having their pictures made. They are just practicing for their senior portraits or perhaps for their wedding someday. They can’t wait to see what images you captured. I think this young lady and I could have had a whole afternoon of taking pictures and she never would have grown tired. Mom and Dad are two super fun individuals as well. I’m so glad they decided to get in on the camera action as well.

Two boys, two girls, mom says “We’re so done.”But just look at all those gorgeous kids! I ‘mean, she sure makes some cute babies! These were all done at our Lumpkin St studio in 5pts. I had mom bring in all of her pillows and the bed comforter and we made a faux bed in one room because I love babies in beds! The bench and pumpkins are something Frankie had set up as decor for the porch just a few days ago, so I was super excited to try it out. Just enough room to put a baby in there!
