Athens and Watkinsville's most awesome portrait experience for babies, kids and families
Oh good gracious!!! This little beauty is one of our Tales From the Crib babies. She is the most chilled, laid back, hard to make really smile babies I’ve photographed! However, I could just stare at her ALL DAY LONG! She has fabulous eyelashes, perfect lips, and the bluest eyes! We hung out this morning in the natural light studio and just captured her being herself! I can’t wait to see the beautiful little girl she grows up to be!
This was a hot and nasty session out at the Botanical Gardens last night. I swear, I almost fell over from the heat and humidity. Even sweating didn’t help, it was so bad. Thank goodness this little guy was so smiley. He had a few moments of fuss, but then it was over in a blink and he was back to his happy self. I swear four was the magic number here. Family of four, four minute apart contractions. Yea, all about 4. All throughout the session mom was hanging in there with some ferocious contractions! Having been on bed rest for FOREVER, this was her first day back on her feet! She had finally made it far enough that going into labor was no longer risky. And so, of course, having your photos done is the way to spend your day! I am not gonna lie….I was sitting there WAITING for her water to break. It would have been just our luck! The bummer for mom is……no water broke, and baby boy is STILL all comfy cozy on the inside! He’s just setting the stage for what he’ll be like as a toddler….everything on HIS terms
Oh good grief! Just look at this precious bundle of joy! Heather usually shoots newborns, and occasionally we will tag team a few. This is the first one I’ve done by myself in a LONG time! It was a ton of fun to hang out with Miss Janie and her people. She has a proud big brother who was off the Atlanta Aquarium the day we took these. So fitting seeing as how he is Jonah

This sweetie is on our Belly to Baby and Tales From the Crib plans so we will get to see her a lot more through the year. This session was so wonderful, one of those rare newborn sessions that the baby neither wakes up or wets on anything. I think I get a no-wet/no-wake baby maybe once a year, if I’m lucky.

This little guy is one of our most hilarious babies. He’s all sly grins and flirty smiles until a stranger picks him up, then the world is coming to an end. I do love this family though, and I love being able to slowly watch him grown enough to fill up that cowboy hat. Oh my goodness. When this family and I met up at the Botanical Gardens for this sweetie’s standing session, it was so so nasty out! Poor girl was just so done with us before we even started, but she perked up when we got the chair out for her to stand up with help. She’s a Tales From the Crib baby graduate now, and you can see her sitting up, heads up session and her newborn session!
This baby girl is graduating from our Tales from the Crib plan, and I’m so sad! It’s always wonderful to get to see them grown up, but it’s always so strange to realize that I won’t have to call them for another session in another 4 months! She had the cutest ever ladybug themed birthday party last week. Here is her sitting up session, her heads up session and her newborn session. She’s the baby on the cover of this year’s Athens BABY magazine!
