This is the second ‘Bama fan we had in the studio this week! Mom made the 4 hour drive over from Birmingham to have her sweet, perfect baby belly photographed! I can’t wait to see this little newborn girl in her pink Alabama outfit!!!

Really, one of the most flattering compliments someone can make to our work is to drive 5 hours just to see us! And that’s exactly what these folks did! Now, they drove more than that really, from Florida, to South Carolina, and then to us. But whatever
I have no doubt that this baby will come into this world well loved. We had a great time at the studio Saturday morning during this shoot! Not only did we photograph them, but we were even able to squeeze in a hair cut for Dad over at Honey’s Salon! He came wearing a hat….I just couldn’t have him shirtless, holding Mom’s beautiful belly….in a hat
But, it all turned out OK. Thanks so much to my girl Stephanie at Honey’s!!!
I can’t wait to meet “the baby!” Then it’s my turn to drive 5 hours for a little newborn fun!
That’s what’s coming for this sweet family, a new baby brother! They were in last Christmas for a session for their big little man last Novemeber. When mom came to pick up her order, she had found out they were expecting this baby! Exciting stuff I tell ya! Mom gets to remain the sole princess of the house! This time around mom and dad chose to do the Belly to Baby plan and the Tales From the Crib! Stay tuned for baby’s newborn session in a few weeks!!!
I swear four was the magic number here. Family of four, four minute apart contractions. Yea, all about 4. All throughout the session mom was hanging in there with some ferocious contractions! Having been on bed rest for FOREVER, this was her first day back on her feet! She had finally made it far enough that going into labor was no longer risky. And so, of course, having your photos done is the way to spend your day! I am not gonna lie….I was sitting there WAITING for her water to break. It would have been just our luck! The bummer for mom is……no water broke, and baby boy is STILL all comfy cozy on the inside! He’s just setting the stage for what he’ll be like as a toddler….everything on HIS terms
And this mama is no exception! Yea, again, baby’s already here. Has been here, will be in soon for a From the Crib session….but whatever, we’ll just call this reminiscing
Welcome baby boy! Ok, not gonna lie….baby boy is about a month old now! But we’ll blog mom’s belly anyhowWe had such a great time during this session, and as our conversation progressed, we realized that we are neighbors!!! How awesome is that!? Well, honestly, it’s not very awesome that I don’t even know how my neighbors are! But, I do now, and so let the neighborly hanging out begin
I’m sure a lot of our blog readers know this family on sight by now. I’ve known the daddy for 12 years (I met him just after high school!) and when they told me they were expecting, I literally squealed with delight and then cried a little in happiness. I really am SO happy to be able to be ‘there’ with them in this. I still am horrible at maternity images, so I had Frankie there with me to give them stunning belly photos, then I finished up with the family photos.
And belly jealousy! Good grief, how many pregnant women do you know (or have known) that you could still see their rock hard awesome abs (and, if we’re being honest, how many non-pregnant women do we know with rock hard abs?)!? Krimson was GORGEOUS in the studio. And to think, she doesn’t like photos of herself. Well, like I tell all my hot ’bout to pop mamas….these photos aren’t of YOU, they are of the babe…and in their case “the pickle”
I can’t wait for the newborn session! This is one Heather and I will for sure work together on. They have already said they are up for anything, and I will be sure to do everything I can
and I am going to pretend that she is NOT wearing pre-pregnancy jeans that she can still button. Yea, totally not….
