Business Spotlight: Honey’s Salon!

Honey’s Salon (http://honeyssalon.com/) is located in the Historic Chase St. Park Warehouse….ok, yes, so are we! I have been going to Honey’s since they moved in over a year ago. Now, most of you know that my hair is my favorite accessory and I will push it to the extreme! Honey’s has a fabulous talent for balancing out my “wild and crazy” side with my, “I want to rock my hair like I’m 17, childless, and don’t run a business” side. Jo, LoLo, and Stephanie combine their talents and personalities to make a visit to Honey’s a fabulous one! If ever you can’t find me in the studio, I am more than likely hanging out over in the salon!

Usually you see salon photos with a bit of a hard, edgy look. Well, Honey’s is neither of those things, so that wasn’t gonna work out to well for them. So, when they came to me with this idea of a 50’s housewife theme with a twist of who they are….it was FANFRICKINTASTIC!!! Love you girls, thanks for a fabulous Monday morning!

Business Spotlight: Emma Laura

Emma Laura….jewelry, denim, hand bags…a girl’s DREAM!

2 South Main Street

Watkinsville, GA

www.emmalaura.com

Ok, really…this shop has been here since Oct. 2007 and I haven’t NOTICED!!! WTH is that all about!? I am so glad Sherri Clark recommended them:)

I walked in and Tanner, the owner/Emma Laura’s great-granddaughter was totally cheery! We chatted about how Emma Laura got its start, and come to find, Tanner was named after her….the store’s namesake: Emma Laura Tanner:)

The biggest line in the store is their own…again…Emma Laura, lol! Tanner’s mom Georgann has owned a shop since Tanner was born. It is the sister store to Emma Laura in Dublin, GA called Graceful Gold and it got its start back in 1981! Which works out awesome because if there is something that isn’t in stock at one of the stores, the other store can ship to them next day…no problem!

Y’all, I could have gone CRAZY in there. I was in love with 90.5% of the pieces and hand bags they carried. But I was good…I restrained…for today anyhow;)

They carry their own personal line, Emma Laura, as well as several other designer lines: Mark Edge, Chamilia (design your own charm bracelet), Belle Etoile, Lodis….oh the list goes on…but check out their website for all those details!

Below is some P&S camera fun. Like I said, I am not taking the big ol’ work camera on these visits…they are fun and spontaneous! So, the photos SURELY do not do the store or their products justice…but here ya go!

I cannot WAIT to go visit other places. This was such fun today, and I hope that everyone will go check out Emma Laura for themselves….rumor has it they have some pretty cool face painting in there during Watkinsville’s First Fridays!!!
