New fairytales site

Fairytale sessions now have their own page! As Stylized Portraiture continues to grow and change, we’ve decided that the fairytale sessions need to have their own little corner and not be all crammed in with the rest of the studio’s photos. So, explore the new galleries, read previous posts and email us if you spot any errors! The winner of the 2011 Memorial Princess sessions was also posted at the new fairytales site today: http://www.fairyography.com/

I Tinkerbell!

“I Tinkerbell! I Tinkerbell!” That’s what I heard over and over last night for the fairytale session for this little sweetie. She popped out of the car and she says “I Tinkerbell!”, got the dress on and threw her arms up and cheered “I Tinkerbell!”, walked a few steps and I hear from behind me… “I Tinkerbell!”. She has the sweetest most perky little voice too, it’s adorable.

Peach Orchard Princesses and Fairies!

A HUGE thanks to Thomas Orchards for letting us borrow their peach trees to shoot in for these! Everyone should really go down to the gift shop and get yourself some peaches and some peach ice cream. I’ve heard people come from states away to get that ice cream, so you’d better go see them since we’re so darn close! Thanks to everyone who signed up, it was a huge success and I really enjoyed meeting all of your girls!

Little Owls and Peacocks!

A little while ago, I was contacted by a lady who runs a very unique store on Etsy. She sells gorgeous handmade fairy outfits! Not only are they super duper versatile, but the little details are amazing! She sent me peacocks and an owl, and all of them just blew me away. The wands, the ties, the crowns and ears.. Each little item I unpacked was more magical than the last. I’m overwhelmed at how gorgeous everything was. I just loved all of them!

You can see her store here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/MeadowLion1120?ref=seller_info, and she takes custom orders if you’re in the market for something you think he could do but you don’t see it listed.

Snowy Princesses

For the first time in 128 YEARS, Georgia got a white Christmas. That’s right, the last one was in 1882! I always said that snow princess sessions are a wish of mine, and yesterday I finally got to do a few of them thanks to some bored mommies watching facebook! It was FREEZING. Granted, it’s snow, hello.. but the wind whipping up off the fields was tough for these poor girls. We took turns hustling them into and out of the warm cars, but brrrrr!

Pretty Fall Princess

This little girl.. she has come a long way in pictures. The very first session we ever did for her, I think we got 10 photos, all of them feature her with a sucker in each hand, tears pouring down her face, poor thing. Since then, we’ve done her photos for all of our charity events and she does pretty well for the 5 minutes we have, but no one knew how she’d do for a full session. I’m happy to say that it went great! We trotted around the botanical gardens for her fairytale session. Doesn’t she look amazing in brown?

Princess in B&W

Usually, I love the color photos I get so much more than the black and white ones, but for this session it was the reverse. All of my favorites of this little sweetie are not color! I had a good time with this girl a few nights ago. I couldn’t be my usual fun and bouncy self so I didn’t get her worked up because I wanted her super awesome serious look.
