I am really digging these new fairy wings! I had a blast with one of our girls last night at the Botanical Gardens again. This little girl is always SO FUNNY. She talks the entire time and is really mature for her age, so the conversation topics are always really entertaining. If you say something silly yourself, she replies “Uh, Hello? That’s silly.” I had to include one outtake here because it was seriously cracking me up all night long.I think we were talking about boogers or bugs.
How AWESOME it was to photograph this sweet, wonderful, AMAZING bundle of newborn little girl! When mom contacted me about her, I truly cried tears of joy. This little girl means so much. Not just to the parents, but to us too. I love everything about my job…and having moments like this, with families that have been through more than most of us can imagine, truly…TRULY makes me smile. She is beautiful
This morning was my first test run for my newly made fairy wings and I tell you, it was a test RUN! We ran all over the Botanical Gardens. Through the river and over the woods, and we both left soaked and covered in mud. I LOVE sessions like this, and thank goodness her daddy was cool with it too. Once I assured him that the dress would wash, he was gung-ho about getting her all in the mud! I did find out that the wings are pretty durable and mostly waterproof too, which is handy to know! Right at the last part, the staff at the gardens turned the sprinklers on and we played in it!
Big day for the little sister today! Not only was it her sitting up session, but she has also just popped her first tooth. If you look REAAAAAAAL close at the face shot in the grass you can JUST barely see it peeking through.
These were done at the UGA Founders Garden this morning. Was a PERFECT day for photographs!
I got so tired of my cheap fairy wings, so I am finally finished making my own sets of fairy wings! In celebration (and to test the practicality of home-made wings), two fairy sessions for girls between 2 and 6 who will tolerate fairy wings:
